if they continue beeing so smart i am afraid it that will have an effect on their existence cause orca hunting is not allowed YET....
Have seen a few videos of boats sinking in the ocean, due to damage to the spade rudder. So would personally avoid that design, as any damage can cause a serious leak in the hull. (Unless it has some kind of water tight bulkhead).
Does this work for aluminum ?
So presumably the boat sank and the orcas did not attack the life raft or crew in it. I wonder if it is play on their part or aggressive with intent. Would they attack people in the water. To date, no orca has attacked and killed according to records. I would not wish to test that theory.
Dawn Tredder really cool
Fantastic
One word: dynamite.
So you know now to carry high powered rifles, the orcas will learn really fast.
Holy mackerel, what a bottomless sea of knowledge this guy has - and is freely sharing with us. This really us the best the internet can be...... Thanks so much for doing this interview and putting it up!
Escopeta repetidor cal 12 con cartuchos de bala.
Looks like Andy Seedhouses yard!?
I find the presentation style perfectly fine. Sail trim is a convoluted subject that's super difficult to explain well, but I've learned a lot from this talk. My only regret was that the rig model behind Ian isn't used at all. I reckon it might have been pretty helpful as an aid.
Thanks for an informative video Stu. I have the MD2030 Volvo Penta engine which is actually a British Perkins engine and I too have a quick release pump cover and always wondered what the composite washer was for. Just one thing though, never use Vaseline anywhere near rubber seals because it is an oil based product which will perish rubber over time. It's the same for any oils or oil based grease. Don't use it. Always use a clear silicone grease which wont damage rubber compounds. It's the same if you do the brakes on your car...silicone grease for callipers anywhere near the rubber seals. In case anyone needs help with Beneteau lifting keel screw mechanisms, I have videos on my RUclips channel if its any help..
DO NOT TAKE COASTAL CRUISERS OFFSHORE! A Sun Odyssey has absolutely no business offshore.
New law requires yaughts to have depth charges installed to every boat
Published in 1976, the book "Doctor Rat" tried to warn us...
I would try pressure washer sandblasting kit for that job. Easy work, no dust and surface ready for epoxy.
Why does it go in slow mo half way in?
What about the waterline?
Why all this modification? It is a Leisure 17.
I want my 7 minutes back. Terrible video. Change the title.
Maybe playing loud music in the boat could scare them away or the safetyflares in the water (or thunderflash fireworks)
I was always working towards bigger tenders on my boats. Finally got the ab I wanted with a 25hp outboard elec start ... but it now also needs a trailer and to be treated like another boat. The portability was lost. I find myself looking to go back to tiny light and low hp for the portability.
Is it really possible to cut the flange to length? I would like to install trudesign to a steelboat. The flange is too long to use the stability-device as that is too short to cover the thread if the hule is thin.
Plus un bateau est petit, plus il doit être conçu intelligemment; celui-ci l'est particulièrement.
Machete, long pole and duct tape?
Ar-15.
Que belezinha, veleiro chaveirinho legal
Hope no Whales where harmed :c
When it said "test" in the title, I was expecting something like a test drive or review, not just footage of the boat sailing along set to music.
They were literally trying to eat them. You should watch how they hunt seal. So smart
They want you😂
If i ever get a sailboat and sail it on open waters where animals could potentially become a problem, im going to create a device that emits sounds to deter animals. Maybe it exists already
Life raft and motor were still attached to boat. Orca swam away with rudder in mouth !
lol the entire boat sunk because it broke off their rudder. That seems like an incredibly poor design of a boat cross oceans. What if the storm breaks off your rudder? you gonna sink in the middle of the storm? That's not good.
Orcas sink yacht? Wow, I never new they could even sail.
Its ok you can call the interaction an attack.
Belle maison pour les poissons
what if I turn the engine on? will it be enough to scare them?
Is it only glasfibers boats that are attack or also steel boats they tenth to be stronger.
If rudder is bitten off why the guy still tries to steer the yacht?
Usually, when you are taking water best thing is to stay calm, sit down and do nothing, just wait... Never try to plug the hole and use pump and buckets to take the water out
These are fantastic and simple videos. Good work.
🤔Very Strange, Note Orcas are only attacking fiberglass, typically sailing vessels. Have not heard of them attacking steel commercial ships. Strange they can tell the difference, like Orcas not eating humans, but sharks can not tell the difference?
At least you got to swim with whales ... 😂😂
Honestly it’s crazy these production yachts don’t have any real water-tight bulkheads, assuming the rudder got ripped off, creating hull damage at stern. That should be able to be sealed off?, but not on most
And no one tried to shove a towel or plastic into the hole and start electric and manual bilging. If I was the insurance company I would suspect they baited the rudder with fish paste. It any sane person had water coming in they make every attempt to save their boat. Why didn't they? If they are so weak and delicate they couldn't even try them maybe they shouldn't sail a 20k lb boat offshore.
PERGUNTA ????? Porque os tripulantes do barco não se defendem ?
